Bat roosts in the grounds of Connaught Court?

Bob Missin, the council ecologist, undertook a brief survey within the grounds and concluded that it was likely that there were bat roosts in the trees close to the surgery.
Geoff Drewett of the North Yorkshire Bat Group, was asked to give his opinion and he has identified 20 trees with the potential to support bats.
We hope that CYC will now insist on further surveys in the spring when the bats emerge from hibernation – we have been pressing for a proper bat survey to be done since 2004!
