Committee report published.

Darren Hendley’s report to Members recommends refusal on several grounds:

  1. Absence of affordable housing. – conflicts with the aims of PPG3.
  2. Loss of protected trees that have a significant amenity value – conflicts with aims of PPG15.
  3. Inadequate levels of children’s playspace – conflicts with aims of PPG17.
  4. The proposed relocated bowling-green is not considered to be of comensurate standard compared to the existing on-site green – conflicts with aims of PPG17

The application will be heard by the Planning Committe on Tues June 27th at approx 4.30 pm and preceded by a site meeting the previous day – Mon June 26th during the afternoon.

We hope as many as possible will be able to attend either or both these meetings as it is not unknown for Councillors to approve applications which are recommended for refusal!

Thank you to all those who have made representations to Darren Hendley thereby demonstrating the depth of local feeling against this development.
