Consultation letters sent out. Read more:
Consultation letters have been received this week and anyone wishing to object should do so before April 18th – although all representations will continue to be accepted right up to the committee meeting which is likely to be the 31st May with a site meeting on 30th. It is still worth objecting even if you miss the deadline of the 18th!
If you believe that this scheme will harm the character and amenity of Fulford, please write or e-mail a letter of objection as soon as possible so that the officer (Hannah Blackburn) will be able to take into account your concerns when writing her report to Members. You can object to any aspect of the development which you find unacceptable even if you only write one short sentence about one aspect.
You should write to:
Hannah Blackburn
Development Control Officer
9 St Leonard’s Place
York

Or e-mail: hannah.blackburn@york.gov.uk

The CoYC website currently indicates that it is not possible to comment on this application – they are aware of the problem and are seeking to rectify it.
In our view, the latest changes do nothing to address the major problems with the scheme and virtually all our previous concerns remain.

The proposal is reccommended for refusal on grounds that the bowling green is not of sufficient quality.
The committee meeting commences at 4.30pm with Connaught Court being 5th on agenda. The site meeting starts at 1.20 at the entrance to Connaught Court. Please come along if you are able.

It seems that the council is allowing the RMBI to revise their plans once again and there will be further re-consultation with residents before the application can be determined. Will it be June? Who knows? The problems of the bowling green have been obvious from the very beginning and it is outragous that the council did not advise the developers before now that the green is unfeasible in its present location.
